Connecting people from diverse cultures through music is a main aim of The Boite, and national borders are not limiting. The Boite supports international artists and provides artists and audiences within Australia with invaluable opportunities to work with touring performers.

The Boite has brought the following artists to Australia for workshops and concerts:

  • 2013 - Gaetan Landry from Seychelles for Coco de Mer concert at Melbourne Town Hall and workshops at schools in Central Victoria
  • 2013 - Jean-Marc Volcy - from Seychelles for the Coco de Mer concert at Melbourne Town Hall
  • 2013 - Ross Couper and Tom Oakes - from Scotland, in collaboration with the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club
  • 2012 - Ego Lemos and Koro Loriku, a 15 person choir, from Timor-Leste as part of the MMC and the BSC
  • 2012 - Ego Lemos from Timor-Leste and Mihirangi from New Zealand to the Singers' Festival at Daylesford
  • 2010 - Sugato Nag from India for a series of workshops and concerts
  • 2008 - The Mafumani Secondary School Choir to tour Victoria for  collaboration with Andrea and Valanga Khoza
  • 2003 - Zimbabwian Mbira player, Stella Chiweshe to perform with the MMC at Hamer Hall and for ABC radio
  • 2003 - Georgian master traditional singer and teacher, Vazha Gogoladze for a series of concerts and workshops
  • 2001 - South African pianist Abdullah Ibrahim to perform at Hamer Hall
  • 2001 - East Timorese band Cinco do Oriente, led by Ego Lemos, to perform with the MMC at Hamer Hall with the support of AVI
