Since the 2nd Century, Spanish Jews gave the name Sepharad to the Iberien peninsula. The descendants of Iberian Jews refer to themselves as Sephardi Jews. Sephardi Culture made a significant contribution to the origin of Flamenco Music in Andalusia (southern Spain).
