JPN

JPN is an acoustic folk/world music trio comprising Jason Khaw (acoustic guitar and vocals), Phil Sheppard (acoustic bass/viola) and Nilay Thakkar (tabla). JPN interprets Jason Khaw's original songs. Jason is a singer-songwriter with two albums released and a third on the way. He is a keen observer and story-teller with songs about the planet, social issues and human relationships. Phil Sheppard escaped the classical scene many years ago and now performs various genres on viola and acoustic bass. Nilay Thakkar is a classically trained tabla player. He is adept across several genres and is a teacher at the Melbourne Tabla School.
