Krys Derwinski has been MGC's music director since January 2020. Krys is greatly respected musician, teacher and workshop leader deeply involved in Georgian music. Everyone is welcome to explore this unique Georgian repertoire with us.

About the Event
Krys Derwinski has been MGC's music director since January 2020. In 2022 he initiated the very successful weekend of Georgian singing in Malmsbury, Central Victoria. Krys is greatly respected musician, teacher and workshop leader deeply involved in Georgian music. Everyone is welcome to explore this unique repertoire with us.
Rehearsals will be held each Saturday afternoon, 2:30pm to 4:30pm in the beautiful Community Church of St Mark in Clifton Hill unless noted otherwise, and will also be streamed on Zoom if requested.Â
Newcomers to the choir can attend the first workshops in terms 1 and 2 free of charge as a try out!Â
Rehearsal resources will be made avaliable via Dropbox.
Rehearsal materials include recordings of each part plus the parts combined, and sheet music.

Full day workshops will be organised early in each term to accelerate the learning and make the choir more accessible to those not living in Melbourne.
A supra - Georgian inspired feast - will be held at the end of each term. The year will end with at least one concert performance.
