About the Event
Bujrum! (pronounced Booyroom) means "welcome" or "help yourself", a Bosnian phrase of hospitality. The Boîte presents BUJRUM2!, celebrating the second anniversary of Sevdalinka, the traditional song of Bosnia and Herzegovina, joining UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Featuring the Kelvin and Sevdalinka Choirs, Goran Đurić and SARAY Iluminado, the afternoon blends traditional songs with new music, prose and poetry inspired by the Sevdah spirit, closing with a medley of all performers. It's the newly formed Kelvin Choir's premiere, at their home venue, the Kelvin Club. Curated by Goran Đurić and Nela Trifković; co-produced by The Boîte for the second year running.
