Tsiftes is a Rebetiko band from Melbourne featuring Con Kalamaras, Stav Thomopoulos, Alex Petropoulos, Niko Kapralos and Jenny Dixon.

Rebetiko music, often referred to as the Greek blues, originated in Greece during the 1920s and gained prominence as the musical expression of the marginalized and outlawed. Its roots can be traced back to early songs crafted within the confines of prisons, where inmates huddled in circles, strumming their crudely fashioned baglamas and singing tales of pain, heartbreak, and camaraderie.
