About the Event
Echoes of the Earth is an immersive and interactive live performance that invites audiences to step inside a living world shaped by music, light and visual design.
Blending original composition for guzheng, piano, double bass and percussion with projection, lighting and atmosphere, the work traces our relationship with the Earth — from creation to the present, and into the future. Audiences are not passive viewers; their choices influence the direction of the performance, making each experience unique.
Created by QiQi, a Melbourne-based composer and multi-instrumentalist, Echoes of the Earth brings together a team of emerging artists working across sound, vision and design. The project expands the possibilities of traditional instruments like the guzheng, placing them in bold conversation with contemporary performance.
At its core, the work asks a simple question: what kind of future will we choose?
