A supra is a feast with equal serves of dining, toasting and glorious singing. Supras are vital cultural events in Georgia which in 1992 became independent from the USSR.
The Melbourne Georgian Choir, Gorani and Tsinskaro, have been guests at many supras in Georgia and have presented many more at home, including two great successes at The Cygnet Festival in Tasmania.
The Tamada - toastmaster - guides the evening, inviting toasts and responses from all present, and encouraging the singers to match the ever changing mood with songs of joy or sadness, seriousness or frivolity. There is scope for everyone to participate, or to simply enjoy the atmosphere.
A three course meal is provided. Drinks are available from the bar.
Bookings close on Sunday 9th Oct.
See you there.
