About the Event
The Thunder - Perfect Mind is a Gnostic text presented as poetic song. It was discovered in the Nag Hammadi library in 1947, after being buried in the sands of Egypt for almost two millennia. The origins of the text date from pre-Christian Egypt and are written in the ancient Coptic language. Thunder - Perfect Mind extols the wisdom and vision of the Divine Feminine presented in the voice of Eve, the Mother of all.
Omnisutra is a musical vehicle created by Gavin Shree Amneon to present the mystical traditions of ancient cultures in their original languages. He has been involved in this work for the past 30 years and has released 18 albums plus film versions and multiple books based on these traditions. This rendition is sung in the original ancient Coptic with a spoken narration of the English translation by Nicole Dawson, accompanied by Will Thompson on oud, and Michael Green on bass and soprano clarinets. The show provides an opportunity for deep listening and meditative immersion in an original rendition of an ancient mystery.
