About the Event
The Brazilian Virtual Choir and Vocal Lab is a cultural immersion program on Brazilian music & culture. The course was designed by Mi La Musica School, located in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil and is hosted in Australia by Diana Clark
Classes are live from Rio de Janeiro and will teach students how to sing latin brazilian jazz standards such as The Girl From Ipanema, Corcovado, Samba do Avião, Aquarela do Brasil (Brazil), among many others. Students will learn the original lyrics in Portuguese, the history of the compositions and music styles direct from the source in Brazil.
The duration of the course is 10 week long with one week break after the 5th class. The first five weeks are more intense with 90 minutes long so students can learn the song for the final Video project and record the audio. After the audio is recorded students will focus on filming the video and the last 5 classes are more relaxed with 75 minutes.
All classes are recorded (zoom) so if you miss you can watch later.
